Spooktacular Drama Club

This year's October drama club will have a spooooky focus!

Taking place at Holy Apostles Primary School, children will spend their day using games and drama techniques to explore ideas about ghosts and ghoulies and things that go bump in the night!*   There will be different styles of acting, puppetry, set design and silliness!

*Please note, there will not be anything too scary as we don't want to give ourselves nightmares!

Please make sure your child is wearing clothes that they can easily move around in and has a packed lunch and snack.

Our day starts at 9am, with drop off from 8.30am.  We will finish at 3.15pm, with pick up until 4pm.

FAQs

Q. What does a typical day look like?

Each day includes warm-up games, themed drama workshops, group activities, and creative free time.

Q. Is there a dress code?

Just comfy clothes suitable for movement (like T-shirts, leggings, or joggers). Trainers or soft shoes preferred - no sandals or flip flops.

Q. Does my child need drama experience?

Not at all! The club is perfect for both beginners and seasoned performers. We focus on fun, confidence, and creativity.

Q. Will there be a performance?

A: Not in the traditional sense...

Each day, children will be able to share their creations with each other.  We will also share photos and short videos with parents who have given us permission to do so.  A link to these will be shared after the event.

Q. How many children will be in the group?

We keep group sizes fairly small to ensure quality attention -  we have a maximum 1:15 ratio of staff to children, and throughout the day children will be in range of different groups, from paired tasks to small groups of up to 6 and whole club activities.

Q. What happens if my child feels nervous or shy?

Our staff are skilled in helping children feel welcome and included. One of the key aims of Thrive Drama is to build confidence!

No child is ever forced to perform - we support at their own pace.

Q. What about food?

Please provide a packed lunch and snacks, as you would for school.  Please make sure you do not include nuts.

Q. What if my child has additional needs?

We are inclusive and happy to accommodate wherever possible. Please contact us before booking to discuss how we can best support your child.

Q. How do I book a place?

Just click the “Book Now” button at the top of the page to secure your spot. Spaces are limited.

Q. Is there an option for a payment plan?

Please contact us directly for payment flexibility.

If you have any questions that have not been answered above, please get in touch and one of the team will be happy to help.
